John McClintock is the founder of McClintock Law.
Mr. McClintock is a corporate attorney specializing in startups, venture capital, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters. Mr. McClintock represents entrepreneurs, investors, funds, startups, emerging companies, and private equity firms in the technology, life sciences, internet, consumer products, real estate, and entertainment industries. Mr. McClintock advises clients at every stage of development from choice of entity, structuring and formation, seed, angel, and venture financing, growth, to exit. This includes private offerings, joint ventures, IP development and licensing deals, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters. Mr. McClintock serves as outside general counsel to a wide range of companies, frequently advising on board and shareholder matters, employment and consulting agreements, equity incentive plans, and commercial contracts. Mr. McClintock started his career at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, one of the top 10 law firms in the U.S., where he worked on several landmark mergers and acquisitions. Subsequently, at Greenberg Glusker LLP, one of L.A.'s top real estate and entertainment firms, Mr. McClintock advised developers and film producers on choice of entity, capital structure, and financings. After founding McClintock Law, Mr. McClintock co-founded and served as president and general counsel to Source Capital Advisors, a national real estate firm providing advisory services to the nation's largest student housing owners, developers, and operators and major universities. |
